Art

The first step to decorating your home or workplace is identifying the design theme. This way, you’ll be able to choose the work of art that will blend well with the overall concept as well as the furniture and other decorations. Our extensive collection of paintings, statues, and sculptures is a good place to start if you are looking for the perfect design pieces for your space.

Paintings

Our gallery includes many of the works of well-known artists, such as Leroy Newman, who was known for his brightly colored and impressionist sketches of sporting events and the extravagant lifestyles of famous individuals. We also feature the neo-expressionism works of Peter Max, who showed us how fine art could touch people’s lives outside museum walls. Aside from impressionism, we sell and accept consignments of styles in realism, surrealism, cubism, still life, woodblock prints, and pictures.

Bronze Statues

The creation of statues has been one of man’s earliest attempts to capture the beauty of his environment. In return, these statues were used to adorn the surroundings.  Bronze is the most popular material for cast metal sculptures because of its ability to expand slightly before setting. This quality allowed the metal to fill even the finest details of the mold.

We have fabulous bronze statues in our unique consignment store. There are figures of horses, eagles, bears, and other animals in all shapes and sizes. Of course, there are also sculptures of people, both life-size and small replicas. Every now and then, we get bronze fountains so make sure to check our site for updates if you are looking to buy one.

Sculptures

Sculptures have been a popular means of human expression since the prehistoric times. The Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations had a vast collection of sculptural masterpieces, which were massive structures that people built more for their ritual and religious purposes than their aesthetic significance.

The Ancient Americans (Columbian and Native Americans) also produced sculptural works, which were symbolic in nature. The pieces reflected sophisticated styles and techniques that art enthusiasts still appreciate today.

Greek and Roman sculptures were based largely on their cultures and beliefs. In fact, many of their works included images and representations of their gods, goddesses, and religious saints. They also found inspiration in their heroes whom they immortalized in impressive poses. In the same way, the dead were commemorated through the creation of sculptures in their likeness.

The Asian sculptures depict its people’s religious and cultural beliefs. While European art was inclined towards realism, Asian art continued to focus on exaggeration as the basic element. Buddhism has influenced Asian art in general and this is evidenced by the abundance of Buddha statues in many regions of the continent.

At Camelback, we have sculptures made of various materials such as glass, acrylic, wood, and metal. The design of our pieces range from simple to intricate so you have a wide range of items from which to choose.

Browse through our site for the best home decor you can use to complete your den, dining room, or hallway. You can also check our item list every now and then for updates.
